Common questions

What is Dotwork?
An app that reproduces a self-experiment described by Seth Roberts. You start a stopwatch, make one hand-made mark on the sheet every few minutes, and the marks close a figure. There are no streaks, goals or percentages — the marks themselves are the point.
How do I cancel a subscription?
Subscriptions are handled by Apple, not by the app. Open Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your iPhone, choose Dotwork, and cancel there. You keep access until the end of the paid period.
How do I restore a purchase on a new phone?
Open Dotwork, go to Settings, and tap Restore purchases. Make sure you're signed in to the same Apple Account you bought with.
Where is my data kept?
On your iPhone. Your sheets, marks and settings live in a local database on the device; there's no account and nothing to sign in to. Deleting the app deletes that data, so keep that in mind before removing it.
How do I see the introduction again?
Settings → Show the introduction again.
Why did the app pause itself?
After ten marks have gone unclaimed the app pauses deliberately, so a forgotten session doesn't quietly fill the page. Tap the figure to catch up on the waiting marks, or discard the session.

Refunds

Purchases are processed by Apple, so refunds are handled by them. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com and request one there — but if something about the app disappointed you, tell me as well. I'd rather fix it.
